Hi Guys and Gals,

I would like to introduce you to a mining district in Alaska called Manley Hot Springs.

Manley Hot Springs, Alaska, is a historic gold mining region centered around the Hot Springs and Rampart mining districts, featuring prominent local waterways like Moore Creek, Nugget Creek, and Little Boulder Creek.

Key Gold Creeks and Properties

Moore Creek & Nugget Creek: These waterways are part of the active and historical Quail Creek Gold Mine property near Manley Hot Springs. The area contains rich bench placer gold deposits alongside minerals like scheelite and cassiterite.

Little Boulder Creek: Located in the local Hot Springs Mining District, this creek has a long history of placer gold mining dating back to 1917 with operations continuing through the decades.

Glen Creek & Baker Creek: Early prospectors like Frank G. Manley mined along Glen Creek and near Baker Creek after hot springs were discovered in 1901, sparking local gold stampedes to nearby Tofty and Eureka.

There is undiscovered buried Gold. Not a legend. Not an "Old-timer said - lost Dutchman gold mine story"!

Real gold!

The subject may be worthy of discussion. :thumbsup:

So, stick around!

I would propose beginning with US Creek.

Here's a map:

The area has seen extensive placer gold mining. I have evidence that there is an undiscovered gold pluton that extends for miles through this area! All of the mined placer gold came from somewhere. I will begin revealing where.

First, we establish a discovery.

Name: Manley 1

stations: 244 - 716
length : 1.49 miles

Lowest Resistivity:

Station: 481 - 486
parameter: res900
Resistivity: 1.60 ohm-meters

We have a name, DIGHEM survey stations, basis for discovery. It is copper-silver-gold.

What constitutes a discovery?

A discovery can be based on geophysical evidence. A highly conductive zone, less than 100 ohm-meters and a phase of less than 30 represents a discovery. The left column is yellow where phase is less than 30. The right column is yellow where resistivity is less than 100. This data qualifies this undiscovered deposit as a highly prospective "target".

- Geowizard

Good flavor or good taste?

Quality of gold is measured as the lowest number in the left column of data. Quantity in rough terms is measured in the lowest number in the right column of data.

Gold is 10 copper is 30. Iron is 90. Between 10 and 30 is a mix of copper, silver and gold. The mix can include other minerals including a low percentage of iron/black sand, etc.

Pages between 1 and 11;

There's more... The info on page 1 shows the column labels. Fid (Fiducial) and Station are the same.

In coming posts, I plan to share these additional pages.

Upcoming is the answer to the question, "Where?"

- Geowizard.

If you got this far, you deserve one more clue;

At last glance:
The location is TA'd and open for staking! :occasion14:

Edited for clarity.

"Where" represents a short section of a DIGHEM survey line.

The survey flight-line runs north to south. The flight-lines alternate north to south then south to north across the survey. Hundreds of flight-lines. Hundreds of copper-silver-gold deposits mixed with Vanadium-copper-silver-gold deposits.

Mineralization in the Manley Hot Springs district (historically part of the Hot Springs and Rampart-Hot Springs regions) of Interior Alaska is characterized by a mix of significant gold-tin placers, sulfide-bearing shear zones, and localized base-metal and cobalt occurrences.

Cover:

Much of the bedrock is heavily concealed by thick tundra, silt, and frozen alluvial muck.

Key Types of Mineralization

Gold and Tin Placers: The area features rich placer deposits, famously concentrated in systems like the Tofty Tin Belt. Cassiterite (tin oxide) occurs abundantly alongside placer gold, along with minor amounts of tungsten, columbium, and tantalum.

Cobalt and Lode Occurrences: On Hot Springs Dome, manganese-stained gossans and mineralized shear zones in the schist host lead-silver and cobalt-bearing minerals (such as erythrite).

Radioactive Minerals: Reconnaissance surveys by the USGS identified trace radioactive accessory minerals—including monazite, xenotime, and zircon—within the district's placer concentrates.

A graphic is worth a 1000 words;

This is a graphic representation of the data represented in both Manley 1 and Manley 2. The graphic shows the relationship of conductivity/resistivity and phase. Click images for larger view.

Gold is found in a three dimensional earth. The second graphic shows depth (in meters) and phase.

Manley 1 claim status at 9-13-26;
Source: Alaska Mapper.
Note the placer gold in US Creek is all claimed up!
Manley 1 is open for staking!
Manley 1 (yellow dot) is the highest probability host of that gold in the colluvial plane going into US Creek!

This gives one more example of correlation of undiscovered lode gold with placer gold mining. Using the info above (post #13) and knowing that this survey line runs north-south, we can see more gold along the survey line. Hence Manley 1, Manley 2, and others on this flight-line over almost 2 miles host the source of the gold. :occasion14:

The survey lines run north and south;

The gold deposit runs east and west over a distance of five miles. DIGHEM surveys are designed to run across (perpendicular) to the mineralization trend in a mining district! This mining district is loaded with Gold and precious metals including deposits of Critical minerals that may be eligible for Federal funding!

In my study of the Manley Hot Springs mining district; :icon_study:

I have found unclaimed Gold deposits next to active Gold mines! The deposits are outside of the presently staked mining claims and outside of the active mining! How can this happen? Miners are unaware! They are unaware that the deposit they are digging is mach bigger and potentially much richer than their present diggin's! This is a common correlation in new discoveries. ::)

- Geowizard

I began my investigation for Gold in geophysics and DIGHEM with uncertainty;

I asked myself, Am I wasting my time? Is it possible to do this? Will I find anything?

Years later, I look back in awe at the correlation. It works. It is predictable. The discoveries keep coming! :hello:
- Geowizard

Every day, every mining district is a new adventure;

Every mining district has peculiarities. They have distinct differences. They have distinct similarities too! The commonality is in the association of lode deposits with placer deposits. I have discovered lode deposits that have never been discovered before. They have no evidence of working or digging by mankind.

Down slope there are almost always consistent mining claims on placer gold. Placer gold is being mined. A search of the records at the recorder's office reveals the duration in years of placer gold production.

Correlation:

The placer gold mining is evidence of correlation in the purest form.

- Geowizard

"The proof is in the pudding!";

Manley Hot springs serves as one of the best examples! There are new discoveries! There are discoveries that have all ready been discovered! The district is LOADED with Gold and other precious metals with byproduct and primary critical minerals! I will attempt to show readers many examples in coming posts.

- Geowizard

I will start with the BEST example;

The BEST example is one of the highest grade undiscovered Gold deposits in Alaska! :treasurechest:

This is a discrete high grade gold deposit that makes all of the other discoveries pale in comparison. It is associated with a "Gold Dome". Domes have been recognized as a geological feature that hold many of the foremost gold discoveries in Alaska and the rest of the World. Manley Hot Springs Dome is THE dome and it is accessible from the town of Manley!

It is a discrete deposit. That means it is compact. It is small. It is a very rich, high grade deposit.
