My friend found this button and was curious about the time frame?? There is unfortunately no back, but curious. I told him civil war era, but not sure?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

It looks like one of the common button we all find. May be from a kids suit, it has 13 stars surrounding it. I would guess the era as being anywhere from the 30's to late 60's.
