Button ID/Date Help??

I was tilling up and old flower bed today and found this old button, any Ideas on the age? Thanks for looking, RCH

The button could have been replaced but it also could be original I guess. These are called advertisement buttons and they bear the names of clothing manufacturers which there were many. They were usually low end shoddy suits. I think also trousers and undergarments. There used to be a great site on these buttons but I can no longer find it online.


ADDED: the trouser dateline 1856-1885 fits the button so maybe its original

Bramblefind might be able to find something on the manufacturer. She is good with searching old newspaper advertisements online
