Button ID Needed

Whilst digging little holes the other day, I ran across this button. I believe it is my first pewter button. Any assistance with ID or date range would be most appreciated.

Yeap, funny colour for pewter but thats what it looks like, so circa 1780s

Hello Bill. It's not lead, too hard and light. I hit the face with the digger, it would shine if it were lead. It rang up about 70, below IHC on the Deus. I thought it might be a copper alloy of some sort. But honestly, I just don't know.
