button ID please

found this today, the front is gray and smooth no design at all, boring, back is a more silvery color I think it is pewter no markings at all. thanks Dean

Looks like a late 18th or very early 19th century tombac button.

Tombac is an alloy of copper and zinc, often with a small amount of arsenic added to further whiten the color.
