button id?

Found this button in the front yard of a 1740 colonial,the button is the size of a half dollar with no markings on back,looks like a fancy flower design on front,looks hand done on the front.

I think sodabottlebob meant the link as a present for anyone who needs a button ID'd and not this one. That link is to an excellent site. I've known William and his dad for years. Both are very knowledgable about civil war relics and William probably knows more about buttons than any one person I know. He is also one of the fairest and honest people I know as well.

That was exactly my intent ... a Christmas Present!

I hunt for bottles, especially soda's, but have never found a Civil War type button. But there seems to be a lot of them being found. In fact, aside from coins, it might be the most popular topic on this website! TreasureNet should segregate a seperate thread just for buttons!
