🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Button or tack head

Found today along with other stuff. When I was cleaning it there were some copper sections , tiny flaking spots on it. Maybe it was orig oily had a copper type coating and that was mostly gone. I can't tell if that's a broken shank or a tack that hammered into something

I would say some type of button,lapel pin or maybe even a sequin. Never seen a split shank driving tack. Good luck..

Or maybe some decoration for leather like in horse tack.

It's a leather or fabric stud, stick it through a hole and then bend the prongs to keep it in place.
