Were flat buttons reproduced? I recently bought a small collection of buttons and some of the flat ones look a little too good. I have IDed a couple of the two piece ones and they date to the last half of the 19th century. The CSA button was made by Waterbury for veterans. The first set of pictures are the backmarked flat buttons. I think the bottom right one is a modern fashion button it has a backmark that reads "Superior (Chance?)"
Second set are the unmarked buttons.

These are reproduced for the reenactor community, history buffs who like to live the experience, especially Civil War related items
