Helping a friend out, he sent me a few pics of this penny sized...button, token or medallion of some kind. He dug it 5 yrs ago and recently came across it again and is wondering what the heck it is. IMO...while it appears to have some age, I think it is a reproduction of something old. Not enough patina to be hundreds of yrs old. Thx very much, Ddf.

They are reproduced and sold in church gift shops.
