Can anyone identify this button?

Nice find. Congrats!
From what I've found, it was made for US Army uniforms and would date from 1902-1955 which would be of the WWI and/or the WWII era.

It appears to have remnants of a black finish left. If that is the case it would date from 1910-1923.
