My permission dates 1735 lots of trash. Most of the targets are just under the surface but not this one she was about 12” deep. Whoooohooo!

Nice detail on there! Congrats. In the 3 years I've been detecting I've found 3 and they are all barely identifiable... I mean like hold them at just the right angle with a flashlight and use your imagination! I hope to find one some day that's as good as yours!

Don't take this the wrong way, but beautiful, beautiful bust! Look at the way the hair is still detailed. The eye, eyebrow, the draped cloth over the bust...

Word of advice: Don't clean it too much more. Leave that wonderful dirt in there, because it makes the details pop! My 2-cents, anyway.

Congrats!

No offense taken that’s why we are all here right? To give and receive advice from others that share the same passion.

Cleaning coppers is tricky business and I agree that leaving some of the dirt allows us to see the details between the high spot and low spots. Thanks

Very nice find! Congratulations!

The 1803 LC had several varieties. Large date or small date, large fraction or small fraction, stemless wreath, 1/100 over 1/1000. Various combos. Only one is really valuable. It's the large date, small fraction. Gary
