C.W. Hunt with Mach1, Mach II, Life is Good & DeArmitt
The anticipation for this hunt was great, kind of like the night before Christmas when your a kid. We had this one planned for a couple of weeks. All the gear was checked and double checked. Extra batteries, diggers, Detectors, food and drinks. We met at 5am packed all our stuff in Life's Suburban and started the 3 hour drive to the site. The time passed quickly as we had 5 people with a passion for the hobby and lots to talk about. Detectors, the site, past hunts etc. The weather was near perfect maybe just a tad warm but no rain to spoil the day. We arrived around 8 fired up our Detectors and hit the first fields. It wasn't long until I dug my first bullet, what a great feeling. To find a piece of what is now history dropped by a soldier over 148 years ago. We stayed at it for several hours in that field before moving to the next site. When we got to the next site Mach II got a cleaner bullet not 20 feet from the vehicle and DeArmitt got an Indianhead cent right away. I'll let the Machs post what else they found
I didn't find much there and after a couple of hours we went to Thank the owners for giving us permission and show them what we found until that point in the day. We hit a third site briefly and not finding anything with time running out we went back to where we started. About 6pm they dragged me kicking and screaming from the field to start the 3 hour drive back home. I ended up with 7 Bullets of various types, an undatable Indianhead cent, several flat buttons including one with an Eagle on the back and some whats its. What a Great Time with Great Friends. We're going back next month, right guys ?
