Have dug gold as low as 29, high as 55. Good luck. Oh, if there is another target neat the gold pin it will give you a junk signal. Good Luck.

I appreciate the advice. Thank you

Yes 30 and above as long as its a solid signal I dig. Your deep targets will be iffy or one way, but if it is a new drop, you should hear it loud and clear.

It's a new drop. I went out today for 3 hours. I turned the sensitivity down to only hit 2" on up. I ran a horizontal and vertical grid and dig every signal. Nothing :(

I think I'd turn my sensitivity way down to eliminate the things that have been there for a long time. Then, check everything between 40 and up. It should be laying right on top right?

Yeah that's exactly what I did and I ran a vertical horizontal grid and I didn't find it. Now I'm wondering if he even lost it there. But I'm still wondering if I should do it again? Can anybody say gold fever! Lol [emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890][emoji890]

Kudos to you for trying to help.
My actual experience with recovering gold with my AT PRO has been limited to 4 Gold Rings. The numbers have ranged from 51 to 65.
I suspect that the quarter sized fraternity pin has already been recovered. A surface target with gold color will attract a lot of attention. Another thing I find a little puzzling is, Who wears a "Gold Pin" during an interactive sport? Maybe it was a Frisbee toss. If he wasn't involved in an interactive sport, was he standing on the sidelines. If the pin was worn on his jacket, (As in Lapel pin), I would focus on the sidelines. Something about this story makes me think
that this pin is long gone. If the pin is still there, it will be a surface find, or probably no deeper than an inch.
