My bet is on playing jack piece. I haven't seen one of them in centuries.

A caltrop is meant too inflict serious injury too a foot, dont think this would inflict injury on anything not even a bird only thing i can see is a mushroom! good luck :occasion14:

I'll go along with early Jack ( if that's what they were called then) I have found a couple Jacks that look pretty much like the modern
ones but they are Victorian era.
