Hey everyone,

Got out for a marathon hunt today that took me to 4 different sites.

First couple were pretty quiet. Got a few Wheats and a US button but that was it. Those 4 wheats in the first couple spots took me to 500 on the year so that was a cool milestone.

On my way to my next site I found a place that caught my eye. My first two hits there were wheats. Always a good sign.

A while later, I had a whole bag of goodies. Here are the photos:

None of this came from the 4th spot of the day but that's all good. The third spot was amazing.

The totals on the day:
-26-S SLQ
-Sterling Ring
-11-S Wheat
-15 Other Wheats
-US Capitol Building Token
-KG VI Canadian Penny
-A Big Hem Weight
-A "US" Military Button

Could anyone tell me more about the ring, token or US pin/button? I always love finding that stuff but don't know the history as much. I'm more of a coin guy at heart.

Thanks all and happy hunting!!

Good grief, that was a good day hunting!

The ring is a Girls Scouts Brownie ring. I found one few years back.

Very nice haul Wash. Can never get too many wheats. I'd take one good wheatie over a roll of Zincolns. And kudos on that Standing Liberty...finding one with a readable date ain't easy!

Awesome day!!!

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: Nice ring and very nice SLQ with a date!

Nice hunt Wash, an SLQ with a date that's awesome congrats....:icon_thumright:

Congratualtions on the very productive hunt! :occasion14:

Your gonna be washing a ton of stuff takes me a month or 2 to be close to that, Thats a great hunt Well done

Holy cow! What a wonderful haul! Well done!

Man you had a great hunt, well done! Curiosity were you hitting yard, parks, or curb strips?

You had a totally awesome day hunting.

Had plans to go out all day tomorrow but as usual in PA the whole dam summer and now even the fall gonna calling for heavy rain and 20 to 40mph winds starting later tonight into Sunday so gonna be cleaning coins and reading AT Pro Manual instead. Great job on your marathon hunt I need a day like that all I have been doing is working 6 to 7 days a week for the last month we are just so loaded with work

Great finds!! That’s a well worth marathon

Is is there anyway you could show a close up of the 1911-S?

i found one years ago and had people claim it was faked, I would love to see one to compare too.

The SLQ is fantastic, but I am also a fan of key and semi key date wheat pennies. I know deep down that there’s a 14 D or 22 weak or no D wheatie in my future!

Those are some great finds. Want to thank you for helping me out, I recently found what I think you refer to as a hem weight in your picture and had no clue it was really anything, I'm off to do some research. Here's the one I found...
