Beautiful photos my friend :icon_thumleft:, I hope your grandson knows how lucky he is to have such a wonderful countryside, and you to show him around it. I hope to get back over to the States again one day, and see those sites too ;D

Took the 15 y/o grandson on his second ever camp out and even talked him into sleepin outside, his first time ever. A fox walked up to him and spooked him in the night, but no bears or snow. It was a little cooler than I had figured, upper 20's at night. Had the whole park pretty much to ourselves.
You are tougher than boot leather, huh?! Sleeping outside in 20 degree temps :o :D . I guess its worth it, especially when you get such beautiful pictures  .
Its been about 80 degrees here today, with a smoke filled sky ....All the ranchers are burning off their pastures and the bull haulers(cattle trucks) are stocking them as fast as they can.

RGINN,
Yep, done a lot of fishin on Rifle Creek up above the Falls and in Rifle Gap. This time of year is perfect, before the summer crowds show up.

At 15 it's about time he slept outside. Who raised that boy? I think it's time we circumcise the lad. :icon_thumleft:
Great pics!!

Yeah packerbacker, he spent all his life growin up in Guadalajara, which contrary to what I have learned from Vicente Fernandez movies, is the second largest city in Mexico. Due to the current social climate there, apparently they don't do a whole lot of campin. He told me about seein a grenade go off near a cop shop there once. He was a little gun shy when we first brought him up here, and had absolutely no concept of the outdoors and sure didn't know much about snow or cold weather. Took a lot of nerve for him to cowboy up and sleep on a bedroll under the moon and stars for the first time. I think he liked it. Now if I can just teach him to cook and make coffee...

GREAT PICS!!! BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO CAMP WITH YOUR GRANDSON.
YOU ARE BOTH TALENTED AND BLESSED.
I HAVE TO SAY, THE SECOND PIC IS MY FAVORITE. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL THAT IT LOOKS
LIKE A PAINTED MASTERPIECE.

KEEP LIVING THE GOOD LIFE. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF YOUR PICS.

Lots of people, including myself, used to think of Guadalajara and other such places as an exotic dream trip. Not any more. If you're gonna do the cookin' and coffee makin', you have to also be the first one up to get the fire started also. Everyone else should wake up to the smell of brewed coffee and the smell of bacon in the pan. :icon_thumleft:
He will do well.

Congrats on the expedition, camping trip and awesome photos!
Thanks for taking your grandson on such a great trip.

You should become a professional photographer RGIN :notworthy: Nice, tranquil pictures

RGINN, I THOUGHT THAT I SAW SOMTHING SAYING YOU WERE IN OKLA...?
