Those are cool finds. I got the chance to check out an undisturbed hunting camp site in Oklahoma once when they drained a lake. My son had gone out and located it. Very cool. Fire rings intact, material brought in from Texas for tool making, a few points, scrapers, knives, like it was just abandoned recently. Mostly we just took pics and left everything intact. We did report it to the Oklahoma Archaeological Survey, cause it was a remarkable find for SWOK, I thought, since it was undisturbed. They weren't interested I guess, and it's back under the lake now.

I've been to a lot of the prehistoric pueblos in the 4 Corners area, but that site in Oklahoma was about the coolest thing we ever checked out. Is your campsite a long term thing or temporary? Generally when we would find pottery fragments that indicated a long term occupation. Keep checking it out.

I haven’t found any pottery there just points and camp rocks I call them. Hoping for a Celt or axe haven’t ever found either of those only been hunting 4 years
