I do know it was made by. C.W. & C. " Conklin, Willis & Co." Baltimore MD . BUT I have NEVER seen one this huge . And no one else so far . I have sent pictures to many people but NOTING ! Most of these are the size as the one on the right . Most have 3 or 4 small feet on the bottom , BUT this monster has 5 . It is made to sit down inside a old wood stove when you remove the stove eye . It does have a long gate mark on the bottom . Made in the mid 1800's . The reason I would love to know is . Me and wife are having our will made . Would love to have a clue on what it could be worth . It is in good condition . NO holes or cracks ! I have had cancer in 2013 / 2014 . A stroke in 2016 and then 2nd stroke in 2017 . Can't metal detect any more . Can't walk without a walker .

Beautiful collection, beautiful condition, civil war era or shortly there after no doubt. I may be erring a little on the high side here but I wouldn't be afraid to value the 5 pieces seen in the first photo at 1k dollars or more. From the final photo it appears theres a few more pieces to go along with the other 5.

Hopefully someone can appreciate the collection, display it, and even cook with it from time to time. These are great pieces of history. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks . I have LOTS of cast iron . Try to collect items from 1800's OR older . Have a couple pieces from the 1700's . I am a Civil War Nut . Love the history and all my family member that fought and died during it . So far I have found around 50 family members that fought . As far has the old wash pots OR cauldrens , I have 40+ . Smallest is a 1 Qt. and I have a 50 gal. Due to my health . IF price of meds keep going up . I will have to start selling them . I DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT !A1.webp

Sorry to hear of your health issues.

I'm no help on your cast iron, but I must say that is an impressive collection.
