It is kind of a bronze color, but no rust. I really cannot capture a good picture of the back.

Have you tried to lay it on a scanner and see if that works. Jewelry can be identified by very small markings.

Ill tell you what. There was one posted in WII here a while back that was an exact match. Now see if we can find it. I thought it was the same old post but I see you posted just today.

The company that made it has only been in business since 1980, so 1980-present on when made.

If you can capture several good pics of the front, you should be able to get a pic of the back.
But it may not be needed as Cheyenne has Ided it for you as a modern key chain charm. The word TAIWAN on the back was the biggest clue here.
