Reality Check: Admitting you found it in a state park and kept it probably fingers yourself as a criminal & invites your prosecution.

Welcome, that is an exhausted well worn point. Maybe someone familiar with your area will give it a shot. Uni is correct that collecting in state and federal parks is illegal. I'm sure you didn't realize that but keep it in mind. Keep looking and sharing.

I'm not convinced it's an arrowhead. It looks like it is an igneous rock to me. Gary

Okay, thanks everyone. My 4 year old found it on our hike the other day and we thought it looked interesting. Not experts or even actively searching for anything— and certainly not trying to break any laws! Just joined here to see if someone might know what it was.

I'm with Gary. It doesn't look like an arrowhead--just has the shape.

I have one similar to Dhaddy's point above. I found it about 5 or 6 years ago on the property I have found 95 percent of all my stuff. Different material than his, but I believe it is very similar everywhere else.IMG_5025.webpIMG_5031.webpIMG_5033.webp

Pictures from the edges, front back and sides, might help in confirming whether it's an arrowhead or just a rock.

looks like a nature made arrowhead (natural rock). You never know one of the ancients could have found it and thought " cool, saves me some work".
