Can anyone help me identify this bullet and other items

I came across a tin of my late grandfathers keep sakes with some ww2 medals & metal crests & insignias... In the bottom of the tin was what I believe to be a bullet... Can anyone help me identify it? Also silly question is it safe to handle and keep

it should be safe its just a bullet ( the tip) -- that was fired or pulled from a cartridge .

It's totally safe to keep, it is only the bullet. Never fired. If it had been it would look like a mushroom.

If you're talking about the copper colored, bullet-shaped item; it looks like a small flag finial to me. does it have a hollow in the butt of the it? The two rings, around the center and just below the tip, make me believe it's not a bullet, but a decorative piece of some kind.

I'd even go as far as saying its a 30 cal projectile. The top "ring" is plier marks..... Bottom ring is where it's supposed to be seated to roughly when loaded into a casing..

Looks like a bullet your grandpa did some sort of carving on. I would keep it for sure. It was definitely not fired. It was either pulled from the casing or was never loaded into one.

It looks like just the projectile so completely harmless. The 2 crossed rifles in the picture indicates the Infantry Branch and for an officer. We used to wear them on our collar but the new uniforms are not designed for branch, just rank.

Most of the badges appear English or Canadian, in which case the bullet is likely .303 Enfield. Can you post pics of the individual items?

Better photos would help but it looks like a tracer round to me
