Got this out of a free box at a garage sale a couple summers ago. Can anyone put an age on it? It says exporters Hudson's Bay Company Edinburgh, Scotland on the bottom beneath a picture of two stags on either side of a cross with a fox on top.
What is the embossing at the shoulder?

On the top it says law prohibits sale or reuse of bottle

Thats a usual indicator of 1930's-40's era whiskey bottle (and later for some) unless i'm mistaken. . .

Hi Muddyfeet, that's a very nice whiskey flask you have there! I had that same one once, and sold it on eBay for about $30. I loved the stag embossing, and sold it when I needed cash. I wish I had it back now though, lol! The "Federal Law" statement was used on liquor bottles from 1932-1964. I would estimate it to be from the 1930s or 1940s, but that's just a best guess. Nice, nice bottle you got there. Thanks for posting it!
