Got these spoons at an antique shop in rural Maine. They have an eagle with shield and e pluribus unum banner and an olive? Branch design. The makers marks are rough but appear to be those of John Yates. Guy I bought them from thought they were probably circa 1830. Any confirmation of age or value is greatly appreciated.

Nice stuff. Do they have any markings on the back. Will need a close up. Not my cup of tea but have some sharp folks on here concerning the ID's.:icon_thumleft:

Here are the markers marks. To me one looks to say. IO. HN. Then A longer word that appears to end in ES. The other spoon looks to say HN YA TES. So pretty sure they are by John Yates. Does anyone have a worthpoint account? I see that one sold back in 2007 but I need an account to view the specifics.

Hard to see the marks. If you switch to MACRO in the settings on your camera/phone you can get a closer/clearer picture (if you weren't already doing that!) Look cool though man! Hope you got a good deal on em!
