Metal Detector Neglect!

I've had my brand-spankin' new Minelab X-Terra 705 for 10 10 TEN diez entay X days and haven't been out ONCE with her (except for known test-strip target goofing).

<GASP!>

Honest! Last week was ALLLLLL rain. I had arrangements to get together with a fellow TN'er and hunt a local spot this past Saturday morning.......but we postponed because of rain. So I planned to go to a different spot myself if the weather looked ok. I woke up 05:30 Saturday morning and it was POURING rain.
Sigh......
Back to bed.

Sunday was a Mother's Day get together/cookout.
And now today.

I actually think I heard the Minelab weeping late last night.
What can I do to make it up to her? Have you ever been guilty of Metal Detector Neglect???

I hope to get out for an hour or two early this evening.
I'll let ya know.

You might have to take a mental health day from work!

Call in to work and tell them you are going dirt fishing....Matt

I'm still fighting with the weather here.

Feels like we Are in late Fall already.
Only in the 40's

I Hear there was a Frost Warning for Northern PA

Sheehs Jeff: and nothing but the usual boreing, clear blue skies here sniff and hundreds of sites to choose from.
Sigh, life can be hard.

Hey, those of us in Central Florida will trade you 30 degrees of heat for some of that cool !
We have been breaking heat records here this last week for this time of year. And rain...maybe twice in months ?

Been an unusual year. The sun beats down so hard on your skin, it feels like it is frying you on the spot !

Florida treasure hunters better watch out for heat stroke for sure this year.

You bought a detector and your not using it?

I'll be there to press charges real soon if you don't get out and use it.

Here in Western Washington we have a rain festival from January first to December thiry-first. Get the heck out of your house and quit belly-aching

Don't make me pull this car over. Are you coming along quietly or do I have drag you along kicking and screaming every step of the way?

Just to make sure it works do the following:

Get a BIG black Sharpie
Turn on the MD
Start sweeping the walls and mark each signal you get

Soon you should know the location of each wire, pipe, and nail in your house and never have to worry about where they are again.

Or if you're normal, you can just read the manual for the 33rd time and wish for good weather...

I'd probably color on the walls... :tard:

Whoa, a Minelab X Terra 705 I do want one of those.

When you get to try it let me know how it handles. Is it really better than the XT70 it replaced?

I feel for you. Got the same weather here. Was suppose to be off work this week but....."suddenly" were busy??? Funny how that works when you talk management into rotating layoffs. Guess time off just isnt in the cards for me.

But I think my detector falls under the "deadly weapon" catagory. Til I wipe all the poison ivy juice off it.....dont want to touch it.

Metal detectors are not weed wackers.......lol

You have the right to remain silent...but your detector doesn't. >:( It better start singin' like a little birdie real soon (and probably will). :)
