I just bought a cibola but wanted the tejon but what can I do I have to have some detector for now.
I think it can keep up with the vaquero but still be out done by the tejon.
I,m only looking for coins mostly

The Cibola is a fine detector an depending on the soil in your area it will do as well as a Vaquero but it only has a factory preset GB.

I'd say you already have a detector or two....or twelve!

Keep up in what way? Supposedly they have equal depth, but the Tejon has dual discrimination which can make it easier for finding coins. I have a Cibola w/ gb and under-the-pole trigger mode switch. Pretty slick, but I've never used a Tejon to be able to compare them.

Here is a pic of Tesoro's Cibola straight from the website. It shows no trigger. The Tejon's two disc ranges only makes it easier to id coins if you set the second disc knob to reject pull tabs.

You can increase the size of the zoom level to view.

Joe, good question and regarding keeping you mouth shut, nonsense, speak up.

Should let you know when the C and V came out there were two posters at another forum to drive sales up,
created tons of hype everyday claiming the C & V were the best machines out and will beat the Tejon hands down.
It was months of this hype trying to line their pockets with forum members money. It was a good show to say the least.

As to the C with 10 turn GB surpassing the Tejon, no I don't think so. Had both. The mod'd C has very impressive
performance compared to the stock unit and I think outperforms the V. The big difference is the smaller box of the C.
I sold my Tejon because I felt the C was a nicer unit to use and wasn't looking for extreme depth, The Tejon was bit of overkill
for schoolyard hunting as you would have to detune it to make it more pleasurable to use. If you have mild soil, you will find
a marked improved depth performance of any detector used. The mod'd Cibola is a great back up for the Tejon when you just
want to have fun.

SvenS,

LOL, I think I'll still keep my mouth shut. Besides, you pretty much said it for me. Joe

Thanks for the replies but I put the C up in the forum and now on to my quest for a Tejon.
