Sure, something that big, no issues, any factory setting.

Also use all metal. I personally would use Gold Mode because it is VCO that gives you a better idea of target size and depth, but obviously not a an option on the 600. But look for a big signal in any mode, no disc, and use the pinpointer on target hits to get an idea of size. Perhaps, Field 1 which is two-tone and is biased to lower frequencies therefore, may hit harder on deeper, big targets.

We have a natural gas pipeline down at least 10' on the one property here and every machine in the universe finds it. I sometimes forget to tell people it's there. Makes a great hi tone signal.

But somehow you manage to find the silvers that are lying on top of it. Grrr.

No, only a buckle.

Finding any target on top of that thing is an accomplishment. I avoid it like the plague, but I know there are some nice targets probably lurking around it.

Of course back to the original question the answer is yes. Most modern machine will hit a silver quarter at a foot, so without discrimination the Equinox should find it no issues at all. Field 1 or 2. Factory settings. Something that big as long as you're not discriminating (cherry picking) I think it's a no brainer.

I wish I had soil like that. None of the four machines I have had were reliable on a silver quarter at 12" -705, CTX-three coils, Deus 2-coils or NOX. On the flip side is also seems that old silver doesn't sink that deep in this rocky clay mixture that is so common around here.
