Metal Detecting
I posted in another thread about having problems with targets using my 800. Well I must say something clicked in my old brain because today was a supper day. There are no silvers or relics but I'm very proud of the finds I had today, this is about the third time out with the Nox and I'm feeling more confident with the machine. I have to say I strayed off the learning path on my second time out and got little frustrated with the machine. Today was back to Park 1 using factory presets only. I have to say the Equinox is one awesome metal detector. The silvers and relics will come in time, today I really enjoyed learning the tones and the nuances of the Nox.

Congratualtions!

Great Job I know how you felt, especially after you read here time after time guys going out day one and just killing it.After the first day I was extremely frustrated, but I am the kind of guy that learns by doing not so much by reading, but usually once I get it it's locked in. But still thankful for all the videos and info from this great site. Keep up the good work

Nice. Hal, go tell John what he's missing. Actually, don't. All the rings in Alberta will be gone if he gets his hands on one of these.

Hal, SUPERB! Glad to hear it "clicked" for you, and looks like you have a pile of coins there to prove it!

Great job!

Steve

glad it is getting better for you, it can be very challenging for us older guys to learn a new machine. But when it finally begins to sink in, the new machine turns into "FUN". The good stuff is now waiting for you to swing over it with confidence. Can't wait to see your first silver and that yellow metal I think that they call gold. DL

Hey Hal nice finds. I know the feeling. I have a nox600 and was struggling a bit. Never owned a minelab before. On my 3rd. time out I wasn’t digging as much trash. I don’t like 50 tones but 5 is good for me. Still learning but enjoying it.
