Detector(s) used
Teroso Sand Shark
My sand shark is suppose to arrive tommorow. ;D I plan on taking it to Ocean City Beach on Sunday, but we have a few local lakes in the area and I was going to practice at the lake on Saturday. So, my question is does the Sand Shark work in fresh water because I know its made for salt water.

It works in any conditions. The only thing is it is like an all metal detector so you might be digging anything. People actually use the Sand Shark to hunt large gold nuggets.

The reason many say it is only for saltwater is because it will find tiny pieces of iron or hairpins very deep. Near a saltwater beach hairpins rust quickly but near fresh water they can last decades. You could wear yourself out using it in fresh water and try not to dig near the shore line where swimmers can step in the holes unless you cover them up. Not doing so is a quick way to get the detectors banned from your area.

Oh Yeah Baby! It finds bullets, gold nuggets, pulltabs, diamonds (when they are attached to gold and platimum! :laughing7: ) - You just have to decide when to cry "uncle!" :notworthy:
