Howdy all. Had a super hunt. The Canadian half penny token is very worn and is smooth on the reverse. The ship is clear enough to make the identification. 1830-1835 Coins and Canada - Ships, colonies & commerce - 1/2 penny 1835 - Pre-confederation commercial tokens is a link to the identification. The 58 flying eagle and the 64 fatty were found together. The 2 cent piece is a 69 and the other IH is a 79. There is a bottle check token with the initials L. J. S. on the reverse. Thanks for looking. Keep Swinging!!!

Congratz! That is quite a nice little pile of coins! The Flying Eagle may be the best I've seen come from the ground on TNet and is a bucket lister for most of us! Very nice digs indeed!

Thanks Caveman. It is my Second FE, both 58s. It does have good detail. Keep Swinging!!

sweet coins,Great shape man. Found one of those FE 's yesterday but unfortunately the darn thing was shot all to he..

Sweet coins. I found an 1820 Upper Canada half penny token last year, my oldest coin so far. A FE would be a great find.

Outstanding hunt. We've had similar hunts in the last few days- I found the 2 center, FE and a fatty this past Saturday in MA. That Canadian half penny is awesome. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Mi$terG. It's amazing that's the 2nd 1/2 penny Canadian token I have found here in central Ohio. One never knows. Keep Swinging!!

Congrats! Bucket list find, that token must have sound great in the headphones ;) How deep?

Thanks Bill. This site is in a risked field about 1/2 mile off the road. Thanks to the landowner, I would have never known it was there. It was not on any of the maps I researched as far back as 1872. Almost all of the targets were fairly shallow. This one less than two inches. The two other detectorist with me also picked up 7 coins. The latest one was 1888 IH. 55 seater dime, ? Shield nickel, 2 fatty Indians and ? Indian. Awesome day it was. Keep Swinging! !

Awesome day indeed. I hope more are waiting for your coil. Great hunt! HH!

Only 2 inches down, the finds I have at 2 inches are often toasted by fertilizer. Yours are still in good shape. I wish for a day like this. WTG!
