I was in central Europe for work. A landowner I know gave this to me along with some coins from 1700s and 1800s. It looks like some type of sight. He has found roman and even celtic items while he farms. Nepoleons armies were in the area too. So much history. The craftmanship has a Roman look. But no idea. From slots on bottom, definitely had fine adjustemts whatever it was attached to.

Anyone have any clues what this might be? Thanks for the help.
