I just bought an ACE Garrett 250 and have been expeirmenting in my yard and it has so much underground trash I get beeps anywhere I aim. I havent found nothing YET but next door is a closed down bar/brothel that closed in the early 70`s and same thing happens when I detect there also. I take it off all metal and switch to coins and same thing happens but not as bad. I think I need to go hunting with an experianced hunter and get some tips on how to.I live in Missouri

Hang in there buddy, it took me sometime before I got my first real find.

It has to be location because my 7 yr old and I go to the same park and sometimes we'll dig 10-15 coins in an hour. Today he found an eagle head pendant so his excitement sky rocketed. We're just going to make our way to the other side of the park and then find a new one. It does take time but the Garretts (150 & 350 here) do a great job with sounds that onced learned make it very enjoyable.

You might have the sensitivity up to high. When I use my Ace 250 I run 2 to 3 bars and no more. I noticed mine was up to much when i found a shotgun pellet(above 3). Once you get a better feel and remove more targets crank it up for the deeper ones. Hope this helps you out a bit
