Can’t identity the company!

Found this in storage from our old Victorian we lived in Indiana. We live in Oklahoma now and don’t t have use for it. Came across the sticker on the back, but can’t identify the company. Anyone have a thought. Considering donating it to goodwill/salvation army…

Nice-looking piece but (at least on this side of the pond), vintage ‘brown furniture’ is out of fashion and doesn’t command high prices.

I believe the manufacturer was the ‘Vaughan-Bassett Company’ of Galax, Virginia, founded in 1919 by B.C. Vaughan and J.D. Bassett, Sr. although your piece isn’t as old as that.

I think the name below relates to the retailer rather than the manufacturer and is probably for the ‘Boston Furniture’ business (aka ‘Kaplan’s Furniture Store’) on South Calhoun Street in Fort Wayne, owned by Max Kaplan. His brother Abe J. Kaplan also had a business called ‘A.J. Kay Upholstery’ at the same location, apparently later taken over by Max. Looks like both business premises were gutted by a fire in 1965 but later re-opened further down the street.
