I parked up hill, then walked down into 'Canyon Country' today, even though the weather is warming up, the Ice is slow to melt in the shadows of this canyon.
Some of the 'Ice flows' were 10' long, while I had my back turned to the 'frozen waterfall', a big chunk broke off, giving me a surprise. :laughing7:
The waterfall was about 25 ' tall.

OkieHillBillies.

It would be 'ideal' in the summer, you could cook, eat, & swim under the waterfall, a friend of ours, who now lives in Washington state used to take his girlfriends there .

I find it hard to imagine OK that way, I've always traveled the western side of the state where it's flat & boring. Thanks for showing us the better half!

Eastern OK ranges from part of the Western Ozarks region, five million acres of the Ouachita mts, in OK & AR, then the SE area of Mccurtain Co has Cypress trees & are in the 'swamp area', & they have trees different from some of ours here.

hello, fossis, an outstanding group of pics. Boy, would I ever like to be there watching those frozen falls breaking
loose as they thaw out with the spring water flow. That would be quite a sight. Thanks for sharing.

Have a good day.

Fossis, I love your pictures. All I ever see is swamp, not that it is not beautiful but I appreciate the pics you post of places I may never get to see.

Can I bring my metal detector? :tongue3: Actually I went to OK once to meet my sister that was given up for adoption before I was born. I only saw the flat land. Your pictures and stories speak to me.
