Yes it is WaA 594, thank you for the information! Most likely from a German M24 hand grenade (Potato Masher), from the fuse end on the bottom of the handle/stick.
Can you read the Waffenamt (WaA) number? Is the number WaA 594? If so, it stands for Vossloh-Werke GmbH, Werdohl/Westfalen
Here's a link to a grenade (M24) that has the same Waffenamt.

Original German WWII 1942 dated M24 Stick Grenade by Vossloh-Werke GmbH - Stielhandgranate
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an extremely rare M1924, M24, or "Stielhandgranate (stalk hand grenade) 24" German Stick Grenade, often called a "potato masher". This example, acquired from the family of a WWII veteran, has been demilitarized according to specifications by the BATF...www.ima-usa.com
