Had a short hunt in the fields of legend. Targets are far and between but you never know what you might find especially from these fields. The 1827 capped dime is a beaut. The clipped one reale looks as though it was in a fire with no detail except for the bubbled looking surface. The colonial button is one that matched two buttons I pulled from a tavern site a couple of years ago. A little silver stem to a pocket watch. The little bent brass plate I tossed into my pouch not knowing that it depicts a horse and rider carrying a flag, the other visible side has a horse with rider rearing up. I was very surprised when the images were reveled. Very cool. I’m not sure of the period looking at the hat on the flag carrying rider. What do you think? There is a little story bent in the folds of this brass plate. I want to run down to the shop and straighten it out but a little leery of losing the detail. Decisions, decisions…

Why thank you sir, looking forward to my next hunt.

Nice Finds. I wonder if that stem item is for a pipe stem. As far as the mystery pc. I feel it's probably 1850's but that's just a guess.

Man that is a great hunt Art. What do you have 5 or 6 capped bust now from the field? Cant wait til they plow that bad boy. That 13" coil has done you well sir.

Thanks Jim, 4 capped, 2 seated, 1 barber, 1 merc, 4 reales, 2 cobs. Lucky 13, the Ultimate coil kicks keyster without a doubt...
