Yes Tom, I am one fan of the "Deadliest Catch" and was particularly fond of Cap't Phil. I wasn't aware that he had died. Thanks for letting us know.

his boat was my favorite to watch, the way he would get into it with his sons, I'd just sit and laugh.
I know I couldn't do that job, but Capt. Phil and the other crews up there do it and enjoy it.
Now he's gone, and he will be missed by a lot of people.

It is very sad. I actually met him a few times when I was working in Dutch Harbor and Unalaska back in 2006. Even did some repairs to his boat. It is a shame. He always seemed like a good guy.
