I was exploring the woods behind my house today and came across what seems to be an old dump site. It has a lot of old car parts, beer cans, bottles, and other things. The more you remove the deeper the car parts go. Thought that I would share this and see if you guys think it would be worth going through. I know it's not a hundred year old site but you never know what could turn up.

Kinda looks like a 1954 ford Crestline light bar. Need to see the whole thing with the leaves off.

I lost a Silver dime in between the molding of my last car. I seriously considered peeling off the plastic to find a $2.50 dime before I sold the car. Luckily, my wits stopped me. I'm sure many of those cars had coins stuck in between cracks and crevices. As the iron and lesser metals have weathered away, those silver dimes, quarters and halves would have held up nicely. Move some frames around and detect where they sat. You might get lucky!

The problem with that is all the other trash lying around, like old cans. The beaver tail kind. That and I sold my detector because it wasn't very good in this Mississippi red clay. It was a Teknetics Delta 4000 but come tax time I'll get another just not sure what. I was thinking about a Garrett AT Pro or a Minelab X-terra 505.
