Nice...guessing the blue one is '66 or '67 GTO.

I love the smell of leaded gas exhaust in the morning. Nice pics!

fyrffytr1 should know. It sure did shine and it's up for sale, but I didn't ask how much.

Once a month during the they'll have a car show up town in a parking lot. They use to gather at a Sonic drive-in, but that place went out of business, so now this parking lot is where they go now. These are just a few I snapped some shots with on my phone.

Love the "Punkin'" color on the McLaren! The McLaren F1 LM was known among some NFS HP2 online racers as the punkin' --- and was always my weapon of choice when I was ready for some serious speed. Drove it at one point to a top 50 ranking in the world. By the time I left though was just outside the top 100.

The blue "goat" is pretty cool, but always a Mopar guy for any real world racing.

Thanks for sharing.

That smell was all around. The guy with the flathead V8 Ford was revving it up. I've always liked the sound of those old flathed Ford's. To me it's kinda like the sound of slow rolling thunder, plus the modifications to it I, label as classic industrial American art. Buddy of mine had an old 50s Willy's hunting Jeep with a old V8 Ford swapped in. It was neat hitting the trail, but had a tendency to overheat in high RPM low gear high-altitude Mountain roads. He always kept a couple jerry cans of water on hand.

You used to own a McLaren? That had to be nice. Yeah I like the way that Barracuda stood. It look like it was always ready to hit the winding roads.

Nice photos.
Love the 60 Pontiac and the 59 Cadillac

I'll add a few more.

Some others. The closest thing I ever had any cars I saw here was the 5 Series BMW, which the guy said was a 83' 533I M Sport. I'd never heard of one. My BMW was a 86' 535I with wider toyo tires mounted on Borbet mags. That was a fun little car to hit the high mountain passes with, but after time the suspension got so out of whack, it would just eat up those toyo's on the rear, so I got rid of it.

Nice Cuda and its a 340 what a beast that motor was for a small block.

I like both the Pontiacs except for the wheels! It is hard to tell from the picture of the GTO what year it is. The tail lights or grille would help but I am leaning toward it being a 66. If it had louvers over the tail lights it is a 66.

Just imagine about 20 years from now. NO loud engines revving, no gas smell. Just people walking around and saying things like "look - original batteries". Depressing thought.

I own several . . . all digital (computer simulation). Online racing is fun, cheap, and a lot safer than the real thing --- best of all, no pain, no hospital stays, broken bones, or doctor bills! That's where I was talking about.

Got a video of it somewhere and I was about 10 - 15 feet airborne doing spins as I wiped out a pretty red McLaren F1LM. I hit the reset button and started again.

After my reflexes slowed a bit, I did get this video from when I was practicing F1 at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium:

The Mopar reference, however, was to my early street racing days in southeast Louisiana. Had 2 1969 Mopars: Roadrunner (Carter 4bbl, 4 speed, Dana posi rear end --- all stock -- which I did top out at over 150 on Hammond Highway when I buried the speedometer at about 5 in the morning back in 1976 or 1977) and GTX (twin of the Roadrunner, but with auto tranny). Both had 383 Magnum engines and screamed! Not sure how fast the GTX would go as it only showed 120 on the speedometer.

In that second set of pics, isn't that a red 430 Ferrari?

The bottom right photo has me drooling! :icon_thumleft:

Many years ago I restored a 1926 Model T 2-door from the ground up. It was a labor of love.

I really don't like those supper tall tires on that era car either. Kinds makes it look like a carnival ride.

I have 17" wheels on my GTO but they look like the original 5 spokes. And there is enough room for tires with some sidewall. Overall height is the same as the stock 14" wheel/tire combo.

That size and even some 18 inch looks good on some body styles. Anything bigger that just isn't my thing. If that old Catalina was mine I think I'd put some chrome steel wheels with moon hubcaps on it. Some wheels I believe are just too extreme, but that's me.

Wagon wheels belong on wagons!

I love car shows just wish I had one to show
