Carambola anyone?

Otherwise known as starfruit. In my backyard. I wish I knew someone who eats it(besides the iguanas and birds), because most of it just rots on the tree every year.

I've never tasted one but they are in our produce section in most all of our stores here in Tenn.

They are pretty sour tasting. :P I don't like 'em,I think it's definetely an acquired taste.

There is actually 2 different varieties,one is sweet and one is sour (more common).No,the branches (it's a tree) aren't purple,that's me trying to edit the photo to make it look a little better. A photographer I am not!

I would imagine if you sliced it would be star shaped.
