It must taste like our 'Pawpaw's, one bite is
all you want. :-\.

Fossis.............

That would be too cool! I will trade you your Carambola tree for my bee infested tree in the back yard?? :D

When I was a kid we called them "star apples" and would occaisionally steal a few as we walked home from school.

Dig,

I've never tasted one but they are in our produce section in most all of our stores here in Tenn.

They are pretty sour tasting. :P I don't like 'em,I think it's definetely an acquired taste. :)

My kids love them but they are costly here....they dont think they are sour. Are those vines purple ?

There is actually 2 different varieties, one is sweet and one is sour (more common). No,the branches (it's a tree) aren't purple, that's me trying to edit the photo to make it look a little better. A photographer I am not! :)

I would imagine if you sliced it would be star shaped.

Seem them in the produce area too, never eaten any. Something I will have to try.
