✅ SOLVED Carbide and silver contacts

I've never been able to find the answer to these contacts.
Bought while running the scrap company 20yrs probably now.
Couldn't sell as the two metal were together and never tried beyond heating up to cherry red to separate.
It didn't work.
Carbide with silver over the one end.
Originally I was told that the item was an electrical contact.
Weight 15.5grams
16mmx5mm

If anyone has any ideas please let me know on what they are from originally or maker.
If anyone has any ideas on how to separate the two metals so I can then have a product to sell.

Finally started processing my contacts.
I tried crushing with the silver cap still on the contacts. The jaw crusher heated the silver up and it got sticky.

So I tried melting the cap off twice in a 8lb lot. Didn't work too well as I ran low on fuel. Didn't have the furnace hot enough to compensate for the Tungsten and iron.

So this afternoon I tried again I did 2 lots of 6lbs, averages a 8.3% return. The 4 buttons turned out not too bad for my first try at pouring.
The silver on top of the contacts is .999 so it's good quality to start.
The contacts now can be crushed and refined with nitric acid.
I've recovered 700 grams so far, just taking the caps off.
It's a learning process, but exciting too.
