This was from one month ago when I visited Carmel, CA for the weekend. I hunted for 2 days at least one hour or more each time using my Tesaro Compadre which I use on dry sand only. It gives too many false signals for me on the wet sand.

I am posting this as there are not many posts from Northern California to help anyone traveling to the area. Also to show how picked over the beach was! Keep in mind Northern California beaches are cool and foggy so people are not swimming in the water very often.

At least instead of pennies I found a nickel and a dime - perhaps a reflection of the wealth in the area. The average home is $1.4 million or more it seems. I did dig up lots of foil and other items I tossed. image.webp

At least you found a couple of coins and didn't get totally skunked. Tough hunting!
