There are many designs out there. Here are two of the best...in my view anyway:

Multi pouch compartments with zippers of closures of some kind to secure the finds is important.

awesome I already have the first one I just never tried it. I got it for free when I ordered my detector last year. I will give it a go tomorrow.

I use the Kellyco one also. Works good for me.

I own all 3 - they are all good

I caulk the seams with silicone and they last a lot longer. Make sure the caulk covers and penetrates the stitches

I carry out all junk :)

What do you store your finds in?

I have tried my pocket but it didn't work for big finds and I have tried a backpack but it was tough to put stuff in, especially in the water, and a sharp object started to poke through to my back yesterday when I was out. So...what do you recommend?

The only way that i know how to carry out cans and other large junk (and I have for 25 years) is to use a coolant jug and strap. The goodies are usually covered with junk so the little peepers will not see it 8-)

When I bought my first detector from kellyco all they sent was a large plain leatherette pouch. I later bought the 3 pocket mesh pouch because I thought the first one was useless. Now I use both. I wear the 3 pocket mesh on the right side for my finds and the leatherette bag on the left for the junk.

I use the third one and have been very pleased with it.
