Howdy folks, I found this today at a place where there are three homesites dating from the early-mid 1800s to now so I don't really know what time period it could be. It looks sort of like someone tried to carve something out of a minie ball although the whole shape is rather curious. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks guys,

I also found an 1835 lc and a couple of nice mercs. I'll write a today's finds post tomorrow with my finds from the weekend but I don't have enough light to take good pictures of everything.
