Cascade Mountains

I got home for a couple of days, and went to visit my parents. I tried a different route than normal on forest service roads, and missed a turn. Ended up lost for a few hours.
Took these yesterday while lost in the Oregon Cascade mountains.
I saw a big Cinnamon bear, but was unable to get a picture of him. He ran across the road and disappeared into the trees pretty fast. Also lots of humming birds feeding on the wild flowers. I didn't have the long lens on the camera to try any shots of them.

I agree, I live at the top. Summer is nice, but winter gets long......With my job keeping me away I don't have much time to enjoy it much anymore.

wow making my home sick , grew up nere seattle an grand parents lived in White Salmon on the columbia .....in Yuma now
