What is customary as far as keeping artifacts? So I know what to tell the landowners.

that really depends on the hunters and the owners , ultimately if its on their grounds it belongs to them, i would say if anything of value was found the finder could be compensated for the "artifact" by the land owner if they really want it or the finder could keep it, or just give it to the owner after some nice photos etc. it really depends. i know for me i would want to have the option to keep anything i find as compensation for my time and efforts but once again that takes planning and a written agreement so that no ones toes get stepped on. talk to the land owner, ask if they would allow a hunt on their property. then ask "what if" this are found .. buttons.. coins. bottles.. anything. maybe they would just wanna see the items or be involved in some way, i dont really know but i hope a mod or someone more experienced can help us out here??
