Went out to an old cellar hole (ca. 1850-1930 )

I found my 2nd 1903 dog tax tag from this homestead.

A couple months age I found a 1900 Barber dime that is eaten away real bad from this homestead. ( almost looks counterfeit )

Here's a picture of the newest tag.

The first tag is #138

Too bad this one wasn't #'s 137 or 139. That would have been so cool.

Very cool. Too bad about the Barber. I've had several that didn't hold up too well over time, too.

Very cool!!!!

Bob, WTG on that tag! If you find any more, you're going to have to change your name ;D

That's a neat tag. Beats the heck out of my "Sketchers Girl" tag from a couple weeks ago...

WoW! That's an old one! And it still looks great! I think the oldest one I've found was a 1920.

Happy Thanksgiving, Bob! :)

Thanks all for the replies

I think a Dog Tax tag is just as good as a coin.
It can date the use of an area real good.

I know there is coins out there too.

GREAT FIND, I FOUND A DOG TAG LAST YR, DATED 1942
