So I found an old cellar hole not far from my house and have been there twice now. Pretty rough going right now due to the weeds and brush being so thick, but did find a few keepers. A few could use an ID.
1907 Indian
1923 well worn Mercury dime
Couple old spoon pieces (not silver)
Horse shoe
3 old Mepps Agila fish lures that say made in France on the back of blade
Flat piece of heavy, pliable metal with either a bus, or train on the front. Maybe lead, not sure if it was part of a childs toy set or what.
The last item is the dome shaped piece with a hole in the center that looks like it could be copper or brass. It is about 2 inches tall and 2 and a half inches wide at the bottom. When I pulled it out of the ground it had some old looking string coiled up inside it as seen in the picture. Any ideas?

Cool stuff, good job on the injun and silver

I think the dome shaped thing is a twine/string dispenser. There may have been a base for it at one time. It may pay you to do some research on it as some of them sell for a decent amount of money. Are there any manufacture marks on it?

Nice find if thats what it is.

sweet print plate!!! MR TUFF

Thanks Paul, I couldn't find any makers marks or anything on it but maybe that was on the missing base?

Nice finds there

Old fishing lures are very collectible..

The other object was a bell

The string looking stuff was weeds that curled up inside over time i find things all the time with it inside..

Thanks, I was wondering what that might be. Any way of knowing roughly how old it might be?
