SHELL CELT

Found along a river. This piece has several markings where straps tying the celt to a hammer-like handle can be seen.
There are also scrape markings on the celt. Probably from a conch shell brought to the river from the Atlantic ocean.

Dang, think I am actually jealous. ! Didn't think it would bother me but it does! Yikes! Am I getting addicted?

Yup. That's what I felt yesterday. Don't worry though.after some wind and waves it will show all new material. I have gone there for years.
