A good friend stopped by my office yesterday with a fantastic find. While running electrical conduit in a fresh 2' trench he found a 10" gold pocket watch chain. The chain has an engraved bar a one end that would go thru a button hole, another 3" of chain and two ornate jewel holders. one jewel is missing the other is a polished deep red stone. the stone actually has the number 778 or 178 etched into it in tiny little numbers. the other end has a working clasp that would connect to the watch. The whole thing must weigh at least 8 ounces if not more. My scanners down so I couldn't get a pic yesterday but he promised to email pics so as soon as I get them I'll post them.
