This was my fathers. (As I remember it) he came home with it having found it in a dump and said it was a drinking vessel used by the Chinese who built the railroad :dontknow:

It does look like it could be a drinking vessel but I don’t know how he would have known the other details. It’s entirely possible he got it somewhere else and my memory in incorrect.

Any information is welcome! Particularly interested in the age and purpose.
